Producing video tutorials is the fastest way to make yourself known. Watching videos has become part of people’s daily habits. Video consumption has become so common that you should take full advantage of this opportunity. A few years ago, watching videos was complicated and required playback devices and televisions. But now, people watch at least a few videos daily on their phones.
1. Speaking in front of the camera
If you are a beginner, standing to feel more comfortable and less anxious in front of the camera is better. Look into the camera and imagine you are describing an exciting topic to your best friend. Smile and use hand gestures to make it more enjoyable for the audience.
It’s better to choose a short topic for a few minutes and talk about it. Then, record the following video. Initially, having a piece of paper and glancing at the headings is okay to remember what to say, especially for longer videos. I recommend dividing your tutorial into concise videos where you can speak to the camera without looking at any text.
Of course, you might make some mistakes during filming, requiring editing the footage using software or mobile applications.
2. Filming the subject
In this case, you won’t appear in the video but will provide valuable explanations. For example, you place the camera in a fixed position and show the cake-making process. Instead of viewers seeing you, they will see the stages of cake preparation while listening to your explanations. This method is more straightforward and can be an excellent option to start.
3. Screen recording
In this method, you provide audio explanations while showing images. The result is an instructional video with those images, and your voice added.
You can also create a PowerPoint presentation and display it on your mobile while adding voice explanations. Your tutorial may involve working with the software. You can work with the screen recording software and explain the process simultaneously. In the end, you will have an instructional video.
